I have used this heavy duty tape for the past few years when shipping books in the mail and it holds up very well to even the heaviest boxes. I won't use another brand again.

Although I have not been sent this product to use and review I would like to state that we always have 2 to 3 rolls of this product in our home. If I need something a bit stronger than scotch tape I reach for the sealing tape.
Of course if we are shipping an envelope or box this would be the only tape we use.
I highly recommend this product.

Over a long period period of time I have experimented with different products looking for one that could be used successfully on a multitude of tasks.
The heavy duty packaging tape has proven to be just the product I needed! Among the different projects I have used it for include;

labeling my collection of 975+ DVDs. After either numbering them with stickers or adding my address labels to them to help ensure I get them back when they are borrowed; I apply a 2-3 inch piece of this over the top! This keeps the number tabs and labels in place indefinately!
Since I found out how well it works at keeping labels in place and how nice and clear it remains even after a long period of time... I find myself using it on all the labels I apply to anything other than items which will be exposed to high heats and or lots of water
When addressing a package or anything important for shipping or mailing; I cover the address with this tape by applying several strips from bottom to top overlapping them by 1/4 inch. This makes it very moisture resistant and keeps the addresses from smearing or running. That way they stay legible and have a much better chance of getting to their destination.

I mail a lot of stuff--books, CDs, DVDs, and stuff that I sell on Amazon and Ebay. This is my favorite packaging tape. It's thick and high quality.

I have bought 3M Heavy Duty Packing tape for quite some time and have always been very happy with its quality. My use of this product goes beyond just shipping packages; for instance, I use it for constructing presentations, preserving class notes, and many other school related projects, due to its clairity and ease of use. However, I recently bought a case (8 pack) at my local Sams Club and all of them are lacking "glue" which is a real problem for so many reasons. I hope that this is not a new change to the product and if it is, recomend keeping your reciept as the tape is unable to securely close a box, let alone complete the afore mentioned work that I need it for.

This is a great tape. I use it all the time. It is very sturdy and closes all of the packages. I feel it is the most secure tape there it. The only thing I don't like is that the tape gets my fingerprints easily. If I have to ship my products to strangers I don't want my fingerprints on the tape.

I use this product to pack and seal boxes without having to struggle with a large hand tape applicator. It is small enough for anyone to use and fits in most home kitechen drawers withought taking to much space. Tape is also more durable than others I have used.

i use this tape all the time, mostly for packing. i recently moved to the twin cities so i went though a couple rolls and i can say they are very strong. all my boxes where held close during the trip. i ma very happy with this product.

I tend to over stuff the boxes when I mail packages. I don't worry one bit when I seal my boxes with Scotch shipping packing tape. The dispenser makes it easy to apply and I don't have to over use because I know the tape will hold. Thank you!

This tape and dispenser are a must have for moving! Your boxes will not come undone and the dispenser is very user friendly. I have moved 6 times in 9 years and of all the tape products I have used, this one is by far the best.

I have been shipping a lot of packages this summer. I have used one roll of Scotch Packaging Tape for every one I have sent. It is very strong and I love knowing that it has reinforced corners and edges of boxes. I use scissors to cut it and every now and then the tape splits, but I am able to get it back to one piece easily.

Scotch Shipping Packaging Tape is dependable and is the only one I can use and not regret buying. I ship small boxes out daily in a home business. I have tried to use other brands of packaging tape to save money but I always go back to this small dispenser with tape which never....ever splits. It rarely ever falls off the separator knobs to stick itself back down on the roll. But if it does, it is very easy to unstick and pulls back up without splitting. Therefore is not wasted and winds up being cheaper in the end. These assets are a great timesaver when packaging boxes on a table is the most time-consuming thing I do. Thanks for always being the same.

We recently moved into a new building where I found myself trying several different products to keep items on the walls. I tried the wax applicator, hot glue, tacks, magnets, duct tape and several other things, but this was the most efficient product for the job. It held my posters and student creations to the wall without leaving a mess (duct tape), pulling off the paint (hot glue) or falling down (waxed products). Thanks!
